The egg casing for a skate is called a 'Mermaid's Purse'. 

The Dolphin has 360 degree vision and can see an item in front of it and another item behind it at the same time! (I think some mothers can do that too!!!) 

Baby sea turtles are born with a baby tooth that 
helps to rip open their shells. Then they lose it. 

Female blue crabs have red 'painted fingernails'.

Richmond Plantation was burned by General Sherman on his 'March to the Sea'. The property was later purchased by Henry Ford and the town was renamed Richmond Hill. 





The Brown Pelican, found off the Georgia coast,
is the only dark pelican here and the only pelican
that plunges from the air into the water to get it's food.


The coast of Georgia is only 100 miles long from the Savannah River to the St. Mary's River.... and yet the Georgia coast has more waterfront property than the states of Washington, Oregon and California COMBINED!!!
The Horseshoe Crab is not a crab at all - - -
              it's related to spiders!!!
